The Tigers made short work of Brentwood Eels to go top of the Southern Conference at the weekend.

The Tigers scored their opening three tries before Brentwood had even touched the ball and looked slick and in total control while doing it.

Tries from Euan Parke, Bailey Thomas and Fijian powerhouse Josefa Tuiyanau were all converted by Bailey Thomas. Joseph would cross again for a second before the Eels managed a response of their own which only proved to be a minor distraction as the boys ran in a further three tries to hold a commanding 40 - 6 lead at the break.

The second half followed suit despite the Eels scoring the first try of the half. Bailey Thomas wracked up 30 individual points which equalled a club record set by Rob Ashton against MK Wolves back in 2013!

The win takes the Tigers to the top of the Southern Conference albeit with games to come for Hammersmith and Wests who sit second and third respectively.

The Tigers travel to Hitchin on Friday night for the first game of the second half of the season against North Herts Crusaders.
