TIGERS UP TO THIRD AFTER BIG WINS

TIGERS UP TO THIRD AFTER BIG WINS

Rob Ashton2 Jul - 10:10

Two dominant back to back performances has Tigers hunting the top spots!

The past two weekends have been happy hunting grounds for the Tigers in the Southern Conference League. Having scored 104 points to just 12 conceded, the side are starting to gel as we enter the business end of the season.

Eastern Rhinos were first to the sword. A side we only scraped past by two points back in round 2, gave an arm wrestle for the first 20 minutes but struggled to contain a Tigers side who "just clicked" according to Director of Rugby Rob Ashton.

And this past weekend we posted 11 tries past a Brentwood Eels side who now sit bottom of the table.

"We have to enjoy these wins when they come", said Ashton, "The boys have earned them. We stuck to process too which was the most pleasing thing".

"We've proven we can put these performances in against the teams in the bottom half of the comp, the challenge now is to do it to the teams around us. July will be a tougher test. We have Bristol twice and London Chargers".

"We were poor against Chargers at home and ultimately cost us a win that I think was very achievable. We have our focus and that is to create clear separation between us and those two sides in the table come the end of the month".

You can catch us at home next against former League 1 outfit, Bristol All Golds on July 26th at Putnoe Woods
