The Tigers men kick of the 20th anniversary celebrations with a road trip to North London!

London Skolars have been plying their trade in League 1 for several years but were dropped into the SCL at the culmination of the 2023 season.

The Tigers have never played them at first grade level and as with any step down there will be a degree of uncertainty surrounding what they will be capable of in 2024!

Its been all change at the Tigers too since 2023's forgettable wooden spoon campaign with Rob Ashton reassuming the role of head coach after 6 years away from the role to build the rest of the club.

A new leadership team of Bailey Thomas and Lewis Sharp have already started to pay off as recruitment and culture seem to have taken a complete U-turn.

A short but solid preseason has seen the best numbers in years and there is a real buzz around the club at the moment!

We're keen to see new signings Jake Tilford and Isa Mohammed who have both stood out in the early sessions with Isa scoring an impressive double in the only preseason friendly.

The Skolars game very much feels like a fresh dawn for the mens section and while we appreciate we may be a little way behind the Hammersmith's and the Wests Warriors of the competition, the are also a long way from where we were last year!

There has been significant investment into the player offering this year too with new head of medical, Tarryn Mutch, and her team working hard to ready the squad off the field.

Adam Johnson completes the circle and has also joined the backroom staff as the club's safeguarding and welfare officer.

Kick off at New River Stadium is 2.30pm
